Bonnie (Tompkins) Kane

Bonnie Kane was born in Albany, NY but moved around quite a bit after her father passed away when she was four years old. However, her family would always come back to the Adirondacks and Lake George.

In 1994 she moved to San Francisco from Saratoga Springs to attend the San Francisco Art Institute. She worked for a concert promoter for a majority of that time and has created artwork for various concert posters, one of which was included in “The Art of Modern Rock” a compendium of artwork created for the live music world. After living in the Bay Area for 19 ½ years she moved back to Lake George and now resides in Glens Falls, NY.

My work combines my love of drawing as well as painting. My process can at times be random, starting with a mark or a line to see where it takes me. The journey to an image is a never-ending source of joy and unexpected pathways.
